A lead represents an individual or organization that a company that you might have the potential to do business with.
Sellution stores data about that lead and when that lead becomes qualified, you can convert the lead to a contact and create a deal (optional).
So where do these leads come from?
Leads are generally associated with the first step (awareness stage) in your sales funnel. They may enter your funnel from a lead form on your website, tradeshows, networking events and more.

From the Launchpad click on on the CRM Module.
From the left menu click Contacts.
A new menu of the different contact types will appear, choose Leads.
You will now see a list of Leads.
The Lead list can be sorted by clicking on the column headers. You can also adjust the amount of contacts per page from the footer menu.
The footer has additional controls to manage your list. You can learn more about the paging controls here.
To create a new contact click the New button.
You will be take to the Lead Detail page.
On the detail page you will notice several sections for:
- Social Media
Each section on the Lead page is collapsible so you can optimize your screen real estate.
First Name and Last Name. The name fields should always be entered in order to identify the records throughout the entire platform.
If you would like you can enter a title for the lead’s job title.
Each contact is associated with a Sellution User (Employee). If you would like to transfer ownership to another employee you can simply choose them from the drop down menu if you have permission to do so from Admin.
The lead Status drop down allows you to track the status of your Leads.
These statuses can be customized in the list item management settings.
The default Statuses are:
- Marketing Qualified Lead
- Sales Qualified Lead
- Unqualified Lead
You can assign a business classification to your lead. This is the industry that they most closely belong to.
To add a new business classification click on Add Classification from the drop down menu. A pop-up will appear allowing you to add a new business classification.
Sellution features many powerful automation tools that can send things like Happy Birthday emails and much more. Use the birthday field to store your lead’s birthday.
Use the gender radio buttons to specify which gender your lead belongs to.
Primary & Secondary Email
Store your leads email address so you can easily communicate with them through Sellutions email tools.
Store your leads website url.
Does your contact accept email marketing? Sellution will automatically update this check box based on your campaigns. You can also manually adjust this field.
Phone Numbers Section
Here you can add as many phone numbers for each contact as you would like.
Simply click the Add button. A pop up will emerge with a drop down menu to specify the type of phone number and additional fields for the country code, phone number, and extension.
Click Save and the phone number will be add to the list.
Social Media Section
To add a social media link, click the Add button.
A pop up will emerge with a drop down menu with the available social media platforms.
If you would like to add a new one you can go to settings>list management>social media type to add new ones.
Use the notes section to add additional details about the lead.
